Rooted in ancestral wisdom, collective care, and cultural resilience, Restorative Justice Across Lineages is a 7-session series guided by BIPOC practitioners, cultural workers, and lineage holders. Designed as an intergenerational space, the series supports AAPI and other Global Majority community members in cultivating the inner and interpersonal resources necessary for transforming harm and its roots. We look to ancestral practices to help us remember how to listen, empathize, grieve, resource through dance and pleasure, ask for help, open ourselves to change, be accountable for harm we’ve caused, and make things as right as possible.
Each session weaves together ritual, storytelling, and practical strategies to deepen accountability, cross-cultural collaboration, and community healing. Together, we reclaim the medicine of our peoples and restore what has been broken.
This series is sponsored by the Asian Law Caucus and hosted by Sacred Roots, a Black, Indigenous, Asian, and Women of Color-led healing justice collective based in Oakland. Sacred Roots supports intergenerational and cross-cultural movements through ancestral healing and liberatory education.
